Using the Local Composer to Adapt Applications

  1. After following the steps in the "Adding Adaptability to Your Application" page, run your application.
    Run your application

    An icon, "TJ" should appear in your system tray area.
  2. Follow the steps in the "Writing Delegates" page to create delegates for your application's AdaptReady methods.
  3. Right-click on the TRAP/J icon in your system tray area and click on "Load Delegate."
    Note: Alternatively, you can click on "Manage Delegates" and click on the "Load Delegate" button from there.
    A message should appear indicating whether the delegate was loaded successfully or not and whether it is properly written.
  4. Right-click on the TRAP/J icon in your system tray area and click on "Adapt Delegate."
  5. Select a method in the left portion of the dialog that pops up.
    A list of valid delegates for the method should appear in the right portion of the dialog.
  6. Select the delegate that you want adapted in right portion of the dialog.
  7. Click on the "Adapt" button.
    A message should appear indicating whether the adaptation was successful or not.
  8. Run the functionality in your application that will trigger this method to see the new functionality.
